This weekend a number of lectures by Rabbi Dr Daniel Sinclair are being held in Perth.  Rabbi Sinclair is a leading legal and medical ethicist, and deals with many issues that impact the legal system in Israel and its relationship to matters of halacha.  To date Rabbi Sinclair has spoken about the halachic position relating to the conquest of land, the succession of leadership of the Jewish people from Moshe Rabbenu, the halachot of conversion in the context of Israel and Diaspora relations, and medical ethics relating to the saving of one life at the expense of another. 

If you are reading this post before the keynote addresses that Rabbi Dr Sinclair will give on Sunday and Monday nights at the Jewish Centre, do yourself a big favour and make an effort to hear these talks.  It is rare that a keynote Jewish speaker of such distinction comes to Perth.
