With all that’s going on with the upcoming federal election, community goings on, chaggim, etc – what could be more important to Perth Jewry than a little light celeb news? (Lot’s, probably but I’m doing it anyway).

For those who didn’t yet know, famous reggae singing chassid, Matisyahu, has disassociated himself with Chabad and is now potentially making inroads to the Breslov movement.

Matisyahu told the Israeli newspaper, Ha’aretz, that he had experienced a “spiritual shift” during a recent visit to Israel over the high holidays. He’s now seeking to be more universally identifiable and not affiliated with any one group.
